You may have been highly distressed by the fact that possibly noticed that a couple weeks have passed since my last post. Oh yes, friends, I’ve been up to stuff. I wish I could say that I was busy doing wild and crazy creative things the entire time. Or at least say that I [...] I must confess, I’ve got a bit of a problem when it comes to a little thing called practicing what you preach. I started out this blog saying I’d dedicate 5 minutes a day – almost every day – to some kind of creative practice. For me, that’s usually drawing or painting or writing, [...] Recently I’ve been having fun sketching some of my mascots. And just noticing how many mascots I have. Sheesh. This here ceramic frog hangs out in our bathroom, on the little shelf below our mirror. He’s one of several frogs I’m just noticing inhabit our house. But he’s by far the biggest – [...] After yesterday’s turtle incense dude, I felt compelled to sketch one of his friends. This tiny glass frog also hangs out in my workspace. I have no idea how long I’ve had him – 15 years? I was mildly obsessed with frogs in high school. You can’t tell from this drawing, but he’s green [...] Just felt like sketching the little incense dude that hangs out with me in my workspace. He’s one of the several little ceramic creatures that hang out with me, but he’s the only one that holds incense. And I think he’s a turtle. Right? I don’t remember where he came from, but I’m guessing [...] |
